Newborn photography requires a tremendous amount of patience,

skill, a willingness to be okay with accidents, and even stronger

photo editing skills as these precious little

newborns often have numerous skin imperfections that can

cause you to spend a significant amount of time editing and retouching the photos.

Sometimes in a newborn session we may take 100+ images of family and baby.

Parents will choose their favorites and then the polishing begins...

Along with any skin imperfections, a polished images will have a finished look to it.  The saturation, sharpness, contrast and softness can

all contribute to the finishing of an image that was pretty great straight of camera.

Is the image stronger in

Color or Black and white?

I definitely edit pictures that I LOVE in Black and white ONLY.  BUT- Others, I wouldn't change the colors at all.

Every image should be finished and ready to hang on the wall in a beautiful finished portrait.
